Effects of Oxygen and Steam Equivalence Ratios on Updraft Gasification of Biomass

Several experimental datasets available on the gasification of different lignocellulosic feedstocks were used to correlate flow gasifying agents with performance updraft in an autothermic 200 kWth pilot plant. The included eucalyptus wood chips, torrefied and spruce lignin rich residues from biorefined straw reed, shells almond hazelnut, which gasified flows air, air steam, oxygen, oxygen steam. Thermal profiles inside gasifier gas quality terms incondensable tar content recorded calculate energy efficiency converting solid feedstock into gaseous liquid carriers. Common behaviors parametric functionalities identified better understand process most efficient tools achieve desired products. In analyzing data, ratio steam biomass was reported equivalence ratio, ER(H2O) i.e., fraction stoichiometric quantity required convert H2 CO2. use useful stabilize tune H2/CO syngas reached value 2.08 case oxy-steam at 0.25.
